Patrick (Pat) Pelky
Pat Pelky is a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin in Oneida, WI. He lives on the Reservation with his wife Lisa. They have 4 children with 8 grandchildren.
He retired in July 2021 as the Environmental, Health, Safety, Land and Agriculture Division Director of the Oneida Nation after 26 years in this position and others leadership roles including 6 years as Assistant Division Director for Governmental Services encompassing Social and Family services, Recreation, Comprehensive Health, Higher Education, Police Department and Cultural Heritage. Before joining the Oneida Nation, he worked for Dean Foods’ Vegetable Company for 10 years as Senior Plant Supervisor and Production Technologist. Pat has been involved with the Wisconsin Tribal Conservation Advisory Council (WTCAC) since it was formed in 2001. He served as President for 8 years and currently serves like an ad hoc supportive member. WTCAC received the Honors Award from Secretary Tom Vilsack in 2010. He also has been involved with the NRCS Central Region Tribal Conservation Advisory Council (CRTCAC) since it was formed in 2011. Pat has served as a Tribal Representative and currently serves as Co-Chair. Lastly, Pat was appointed to the American Indian/Alaska Native Employee Elders Council in 2021. He supports his wife, Lisa, on the Board and daily operations for the Firefly Acre Horse Farm, Inc. since it was formed in
2009. The not-for-profit business was founded by his wife and is a Horse Rescue and Equine Assisted Therapy business. It matches broken and hurting horses with broken and hurting children and adults.
